Deposits
A deposit covering all third-party disbursement costs must be paid before the funeral takes place.
Non-payment of the deposit will result in the funeral being delayed.
Full payment of Unattended Funerals and CMA Funerals will be required at the time of making the arrangements and must be paid before the funeral takes place.
Confirmation
A written Confirmation of Funeral Arrangements and Estimate of all known funeral director’s charges and disbursements will be provided once the funeral details and scope of charges are known. These will be presented to the client prior to the funeral date.
Payment
For all other funerals, the final invoice will be sent after the funeral and is due within 14 days of invoice date. We prefer all deposits and payments to be made by bank transfer but are also happy to accept and Chash and cheques.
We are happy to deal with solicitors or other professionals acting on your behalf, however settlement of the account within 14 days either from the client’s own resources or from a bank account will make considerable savings. This cost is fully recoverable from the estate. Many banks and building societies will pay the funeral account direct to the funeral director from the deceased’s bank account. We will be happy to discuss this issue further on request.
